Mastering the Pentatonic Scale

Seeks strategies to move beyond pentatonic box shapes into musical improvisation and note targeting, asking whether mastery comes with time and specific practice.

Excerpt from the original

Asked a question yesterday and got really good feedback. So a follow up. What was it for you that really unlocked the pentatonic scale musically? Ik the boxes and shapes but I don’t feel like I comfortably know where my notes are when improvising with them. I can play tasty licks by accident sometimes but others I feel like I’m guessing the sound of the note I’m about to play or just moving up and down the scale. Is it just a comes in time thing?
